Giovanna Gilleri è assegnista di ricerca in diritto internazionale e lingua e traduzione spagnola presso il Dipartimento di Scienze giuridiche, del linguaggio, dell’interpretazione e della traduzione dell’Università di Trieste e Visiting Professor presso la Facoltà di Giurisprudenza dell’Université Catholique de Lille (Lille e Parigi). Si occupa di approcci critici al diritto internazionale, basati su teorie femministe, queer e psicoanalitiche, nonché di indicatori dei diritti umani, di salute mentale e diritti umani comparati. Ha completato il dottorato in diritti umani internazionali all’Istituto Universitario Europeo, una laurea magistrale in Giurisprudenza presso l’Università di Trieste e due LLM, presso l’Istituto Universitario Europeo e la School of Oriental and African Studies rispettivamente. Precedentemente, è stata ricercatrice postdoc presso il Centro Studi Dipartimentale ‘Diritto e società plurale’ dell’Università di Milano-Bicocca e visiting researcher all’Università di Helsinki. Ha lavorato come tirocinante nel Gender Team della FAO e alla Corte europea dei diritti umani.  

Giovanna Gilleri is a postdoctoral research fellow in international law and Spanish language and translation at the Department of Legal, Language, Interpreting and Translation Studies, University of Trieste, and Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Law, Université Catholique de Lille (Lille and Paris). She researches in the theory and practice of gender and human rights law from the perspective of critical legal feminist, queer and psychoanalytical studies. Other areas of interest include the right to mental health, human rights indicators and comparative human rights law. Giovanna holds a PhD in international human rights law (EUI); an LLM in comparative, European and international (EUI); an LLM in human rights, conflict and justice (SOAS); and a combined LLB+LLM (University of Trieste). She was previously a postdoctoral research fellow at the Departmental Centre for Law and Pluralism, University of Milan-Bicocca; gender and land rights intern at UN FAO; legal intern at the European Court of Human Rights; and visiting researcher at the University of Helsinki.
